Please read this policy carefully. It explains what personal information Pulse IQ Consulting Inc. collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using our website or services, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
Section 01
Who We Are
Pulse IQ Consulting Inc. ("Pulse IQ," "we," "us," or "our") is a freight intelligence and logistics consulting firm incorporated in Alberta, Canada. Our principal place of business is Edmonton, Alberta.
We operate two service lines: Freight Pulse, an automated freight invoice auditing platform, and Pulse IQ Consulting, a freight strategy advisory practice. Both services are offered exclusively to business clients (B2B) and involve the handling of freight billing data, carrier agreements, and related business financial information.
This Privacy Policy applies to our website at pulseiqconsulting.com and to all services we provide. It is written in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's federal private-sector privacy law.
Section 02

Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical information through analytics tools and cookies, including:

This information is collected in aggregate and anonymized form. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Important clarification
Our website does not collect credit card numbers, Social Insurance Numbers, government-issued identification, or any sensitive personal information. All financial data related to client freight spend and carrier payments is handled through secure direct channels, not through this website.
Section 03
How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect only for the purposes for which it was provided or for directly related purposes. Specifically:
To respond to enquiries — contact form and audit request submissions are used solely to follow up with you
To deliver Freight Pulse services — freight billing data and carrier agreement information is used exclusively to audit invoices, identify billing errors, file disputes, and produce reports on your behalf
To process payments — EFT / banking details are used to issue consolidated invoices, receive client payments, and disburse payments to carriers on your behalf
To deliver consulting services — contact and freight data provided in a consulting engagement is used to analyse your situation and produce deliverables scoped in your engagement agreement
To send service communications — we may email you about your audit results, dispute status, invoices, or engagement milestones. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent
To improve our website — anonymized analytics data is used to understand how visitors use our site and to improve content and navigation
To comply with legal obligations — we retain business records as required by Canadian tax law and applicable regulations
We do not use your personal information for automated profiling, targeted advertising, or any purpose unrelated to the services you requested.
Section 04
Payment & Financial Data
Pulse IQ Consulting acts as a billing intermediary for Freight Pulse clients. This means we receive EFT payments from clients and disburse EFT payments to carriers on their behalf. This involves handling business banking information for the purpose of processing these transactions.
EFT / banking details provided for payment processing are stored securely and used only for the purpose of sending and receiving payments related to your engagement
Payment records are retained for the period required by Canadian tax legislation (currently seven years) and then securely destroyed
We do not store credit card information. We do not use third-party payment processors that store card data on our behalf
Banking details are never shared with third parties other than the financial institutions involved in processing the specific transaction
Accounting records
We use QuickBooks (Intuit Inc.) as our accounting software. Client invoicing and payment records are stored in QuickBooks. Intuit's privacy practices govern data stored within their platform — see intuit.com/privacy/statement for details.
Section 05
Analytics & Cookies
Our website uses analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with our content. We currently use or may use the following:
Google Analytics (Google LLC) — collects anonymized data about page views, session duration, traffic sources, and device type. Data is processed in accordance with Google's privacy policy. Google Analytics data is retained for 26 months by default. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
Cookies — our website uses cookies to support analytics and basic site functionality. Cookies are small text files stored on your browser. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels for ad targeting, or any tools designed to track you across other websites. Our analytics usage is limited to understanding aggregate site performance.

Section 07
Who We Share Data With
Our commitment
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party, ever. Your data is used exclusively to deliver the services you requested from us.

We do not share client freight data, carrier agreements, audit results, or business financial information with any party other than those listed above and those explicitly authorized by you in writing.
Section 08

Payment and financial records — retained for 7 years in accordance with CRA requirements, then securely destroyed
Analytics data — retained per Google Analytics default settings (26 months) for aggregated, anonymized data
Blog notification email signups — retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
